(cell phone pics)
Here are just a few pics from our trip. The camera was broke....so I will post more when I scan them)

Ryan's Grandpa and Grandma offered to get us a hotel so we could come and visit them in Louisville, Kentucky. We we elated. It had been years since we had seen Ryan's grandma(she had never met any of the kids). So we drove the 5 south hours to see them.
It was truly a great trip. When we got there we took a tour of their lovely condo and did a little catching up. Next they took us to a great local burger joint. Then we went for a drive around the city to see some very cool things(I love to explore new cities!). Finally, we ended up at a hot air balloon festival. We got to see hundred of balloons blow up and take off. And they had a light show when it got dark. Most of all it was fun spending time with Jack and Laura(as Ryan calls them).
The next morning we headed back to their condo and Jack made us pancakes. Next, he busted out old pictures...pictures of himself as a young man, pictures of Ryan's dad and his siblings growing up, pictures of Ryan's dad's mom who passed away at a young age, of Jack and Laura when they first met....and many more. And we heard many stories to go along with the pictures. It was a wonderful time, I know Ryan truly enjoyed learning so much about his family, as did I. After that we headed to a park for a walk and to let the kids get their energy out before our ride home. It was so much fun and I hope to go back again soon.
