I recently read a statistic that only about 30% of people approved of boys having long hair. That really shocked me. Both of my boys have had long hair most of the time. I actually prefer it that way. My husband does not have much of a care but if asked he would say he likes short hair. I have had many people try to be discrete with their disapproval and say, "Wow he needs a hair cut." or "Gee his hair is getting so long." But that did not phase me.

Funny story. We were shopping the other day and a women stopped to tell Owen how cute he was. Owen is a social boy and started telling the women about his clothes, shoes, sister... I sort of drifted out of the conversation, looking at the food on the shelf, when I looked back over Owen was telling the women, "No. I am a boy." Me, I just laughed and thought, it's the hair.

So neither of these stories are the reason I cut all Owens lush blonde hair off. The real reason is he is a hot and sweaty boy in the summer and sunscreen makes hair very greasy! I did it for convince for me and comfort for him.

I'm still getting used to his hair, it has not been this short since he was 1. I may be biased but I must say he is still absolutely adorable.

Have you seen Kate Hudson's son's hair? What do you think about that?
Logan's hair has been long since he had hair! I won't cut it. People think he is a girl all the time because he is so pretty. Similar story to yours, a waitress thought he was a girl (even though he had a football shirt on duh!). She asked "How old is your little girl?", to which he quickly responded, "I a boy!". (He was three at the time)
Two Pretzels: Funny you mention Kate Hudson's son's hair, I was just having a conversation with my mom about this. Even though I love long hair on boys I don't think I'm into the middle part long boy hair. You?

SUPER cute haircut. it's so funny how this haircut made him look like a totally different boy, really. cute either way, but this will keep him cool for the summer.

I know, I was thinking that too. they do resemble each other! Logan does get warm but he thinks his long hair is cool because he wants to be a rock star, seriously!
We play in the water A LOT to cool off. Today we are actually going to a place today where kids can play in the fountains. We are also only 45 minutes from the beach. (I love that)
I'm with you, carter. I think it's high-time they cut Ryder's hair. It's just too long, you know?
I think Owen is Super CUTE all the time: short or long hair!!!!
