Ashton wanted his birthday party at the Bowling Ally this year. He and 13 of his friends partied and ate pizza. We had a wonderful time and Ashton has some great memories!

Dear Ashton, I hope you enjoyed your 7th birthday. You are growing up so fast(to fast actually!). You are such a sweet, caring, amazing boy. You're a great helper around the house, a wonderful student, an artist, and incredible at almost any sport you try. I know I'm your mom and of course I would say that, but it is all true. First, around the house you are always willing to help me out with cleaning, grabbing me something I may need, or playing with your brother or sister. At school, you are always a good listener, helper, and friend to others. Your teacher can't stop talking about how you have a great mind, and how you are always willing to help others. Your drawing abilities are very impressive. You are good at making faces, especially noses; you love to just sit and draw/color pictures of what ever you mind thinks of. I am always shocked at the amazing art projects that you bring home and the ones you create at our house. Since you were a little boy, you have always been super coordinated, and agile which helps in you in all that you do. You excel in gymnastics, karate, basketball, and anything you put you mind to! I love watching you in all your activities. Most important to me is your big heart. You are always thinking of others feelings, you are a great role model for Owen and Carly, and you are so loving. I love talking with you and hearing about your school day and your friends, I love snuggling with you and reading a book, I love answering any questions you have for me, I, love laughing with you, and I love watching you grow and mature. I am so glad I am your mom and your dad and I love you so very much!

Celebrating our Birthdays (2 days apart)

We had two very rare nights out together, sans kids. First, we went to dinner at Nagoya Japanese Steakhouse to celebrate our birthdays. Mmmm, best food ever! A few weeks later we went to a cancer benefit/silent auction. It was great to get some time with the hubby.

We had a fun day at Tracy's letting all the kids play and run around while us Mommy's enjoyed eachothers company.

On a rare sunny winter day, the kids made sure they were prepared for the car ride. They all looked slick in their shades! Quite adorable if I do say so myself!

22 months and a Daddy's girl.

Here is Carly's 22 month picture. She is still very quiet and as snuggle prone as ever! I can't believe she is fast approaching 2 years old.

In February and March, Ashton and Owen, both played their first season of basketball. They were great. During his best game Ashton scored 16 points! We were proud parents. Ashton is very fast and coordinated. Owen scored  in every game and got 6 points during his best game. He is an amazing dribbler. All the parents kept commenting on Owen's dribbling skills. I will have to post a video. They don't keep score during the games so it is more about having fun then winning. Owen's team was called the Gophers and he loved the team huddle when they shouted, "Gooooooo Gophers". It was a fun filled season. The boys had most of their games at the same time, so Ryan was taking one, while I was taking the other!

B-ballin'.

Back in January we went to our very first Harlem Globetrotters game at the BGSU arena! The boys had a blast. Owen is a basketball freak, so he was mezmerized most of the time! Honestly i don't know what they enjoyed more sitting up really high on the bleachers, the game, or eating all the candymy brother brought. Regardless, it was a good time and new experience!
