Owen has been asking to go to the zoo for months. Every time we had to reluctantly tell him that is was to cold outside. But that was not a good enough reason for him. He would get upset and was very persiatant that it was nice out. Well the day finally came that we could actually say yes! Owen was ecstatic. We rode the carousel, saw the gorillas, the aquarium, played at the park...it was a fun filled day. The picture of Owen on the bison is classic. I have a picture on Ashton on this, and a picture of myself as a kid on this same animal statue (I can not think of what to call this thing). And when Carly is old enough she will join in the fun. Just on of those fun childhood memories. For some reason I loved that darn thing and was always so excited to sit on it. It's fun to see my kids react the same way.

The big O.N.E.

Happy Birthday Carly Cutes!
Today is my darling daughters first birthday. It is amazing how fast this day comes and how much they grow and learn during this time. Carly is a loving, yet feisty little gal. She loves to give hugs and snuggle, and her laugh is contagious. She is an amazing addition to our family.

(We had her party last Sunday combined with my niece, Ava, who is 9 days older...pics to come.)

Can you believe I don't own a pair of snow boots!

I can honestly say I have not been sledding since I was a kid. So... I busted out the plastic bags for my feet and was dragged out of my warm and cozy house to join the fun. And fun it was. The sun was shining, nobody was there, and it was not cold. We had a blast trucking up and down the hill and as you can see Owen got the royal treatment on the way up. Ashton and Mason thought of plenty of crazy was to use the sled other than the boring sit on your butt and go. We had to drag them to the car when it was time to go.

Happy Easter. Better late than never.

OK, I know Easter was several weeks ago but Im a busy lady. We had a fun holiday. When the boys woke up we rushed downstairs to find their baskets. The easter bunny did a good job hiding Ashtons and he ended up needing a bit of help. Oops! The rest of the morning the boys had fun discovering hidden eggs in random spots. Then it was off to my parents for brunch. The kids looked aborable all dressed up. It was Carly's first easter and I had much fun picking out her dress and seeing her in it. We got to spend some time with my cousins and their kids, eat some yummy food, and have another easter egg hunt (inside since there was SNOW on the ground).
