Everybody's got their own Style and Rhythm.
She was born to dance. Ever since Carly was able to sit on her own(about 5 1/2 months) she has been dancing. It doesn't matter if she is lying on her back, being held, standing or sitting, at the first sound of music she is shaking her body. On most all of our toy music players she has figured out how to push the song buttons and does so repeatedly so she can dance. It is truely adorable.

Product Review.

Selection: Next thing you know we are at the store searching for our new items. My main concern was size. I didn't want big bulky wheels and I wanted it to fold easy. There was not the best selection in my category. After comparing all the bells and whistles and plenty of walks around the store I chose the Peg Pergo Aria. A huge step up(price wise) from my Evenflo. It was the right size, it was lightweight, had one hand folding capabilities and the colors are super cute.
The cold hard facts: I want my Evenflo back. Basically you are paying for the name. Within the first month the cup holder fell off. They do not steer easy, especially with one hand(which is a must if you have more than one child). The buckle is just weird. There are straps that go over the kids shoulder and the hook to keep the straps up(and the kids safe) is always falling out. And as it turns out they fold down fairly easy with one had but do not open easily with one hand. But they still look cute.....
Final thoughts: I want a new stroller. I'm glad the airline payed for it.
(my sister purchased the same stroller in a different color and has the exact same issues that I do, we can't walk next to each other pushing them without crashing into one another)

Kinda scary looking!
For fun Ryan drew some facial hair in Ashton with an eyeliner pencil. He loved it. He wore it the whole day, would not let us clean it off before bed and was sad the next day when he had to shower. When Owen woke up from his nap he, of course, wanted a "muspash" like Ashton. Although he wanted his wiped off as soon as I was done putting it on(can you blame him). At least I was able to get the picture. The cutest part about the whole thing was hearing Owen say "muspash" all day long.

Calling all modeling agencies.
What a stud! Ashton had fun posing for the camera. These pictures really make him look so old. He just got his hair cut and he knew exactly what he wanted...short hair. As in a buzz. I, of course, wanted him to keep it long. So we compromised. After the lady was done cutting it she asked him if he liked it. He replied, "Nah, I want the front shorter." Who can argue which a boy who knows what he wants? So she cut it shorter and he was happy. He's my handsome little man.

Oh your a clearance snob.

I was all over this weekend looking for marked down clothing for the kids for next season. Needless to say, I didn't have much luck. Either there was no clearance at all(Old Navy) or the deals were just bad(Kohls). As we all know Kohls jacks up there prices so they can have all there super sales. When you see sign that says 60% off you'd expect a good price. Not at Kohls. This markdown takes a $28.00 (size 24 months shirt) to $11.20. Not a clearance price in my opinion. At Kohls you need at least 80% off to put a dent in the price. Now I did have some good luck at the Gap Kids! Shirts for Carly and Ashton $2-5.00, pants $5.00, a sweater for Ashton $5.00. These are prices that are worth getting excited over!

It was one of those mornings.

I went out with some friends Saturday night and Ryan was not feeling well. This is perfect combination for the kids to wake up extra early.
---
...........You hear you name being called, yet it is still pitched black out.
You hope when you look at the clock it will be 2 or 3:00. You feel like you just went to sleep 10 minutes ago. As your eyes slowly open and see 6:15, you know it's over, it's time to get up.
---
These are the mornings in which TV is a lifesaver and our bed becomes the family bed. The kids pile in(one on each side, Ryan and I in the middle to prevent fights) and watch a show while we catch some extra shut eye. Seriously, I savor every extra second because even this doesn't last very long. They eventually get hungry.
She's on the move.
Carly is officially on the move. She has been pushing herself backwards on her tummy for sometime now. Which is actually pretty funny because she would get herself it all kinds of perdicaments that she could not get out of. Like...getting stuck under the kitchen table, or partially under the couch. But now she can go forward and she got good at it fast. This milestone changes everything. I can no longer set her down to play with out taking my eyes off her. But I really can not complain because she could have been crawling many months ago.
Snow day...the kids are home.
It could not have been a better snow day! The temperature was nice and the perfect amount of snow fell. Ashton went over to his grandmas to play with Mason where they built a snow fort. He was very excited to have another day off school (the second day this week). Owen got all bundled up for his first official time to play in the snow(and actually enjoy it). He is wearing my brothers old snowsuit and looks adorable. Ryan and him had fun building a snowman. And when he was cold and ready to come inside he enjoyed a cup of warm chocolate (he hates anything hot so we can use that word). It was a fun day.

Meet Blankey.
Hair Don't.
This is what Ryan does in his spare time.
He's thinking about becoming a hair stylist.
Or starting a new trend.
It's easy just rub a fleece blanket on your head.
The kids love it. They want to do it over and over. Their favorite part is that they can shock each other from the static it creates. It is not my favorite thing. It seems that they always want to play this "game" right after a bath or before we are going somewhere.
